简介: "Jonathan Clay’s new album "Whole New Me" is a must have for your acoustic music section. His music is an uplifting, subtle piece of work by an Up & Coming Star." - www.jtownmusic.com- With the release of his first album: “Whole New Me, Jonathan Clay is embarking on a journey that he has been waiting to take from the time of his childhood. “I had musical influence all around me. My father was in bands when he was in college, and continued pursuing music as a serious hobby. All through my childhood I heard piano and guitar ringing through the house, and I guess it rubbed off on me.” Picking up the guitar at age 15, Jonathan decided to start making music of his own, writing simple melodies and performing them for friends and family. “It wasn’t until High School that I got really serious about music. But once I did, I remember bringing my guitar to school every single day and spending hours in the choir room where my teacher let me play.” After moving to San Marcos to attend Texas State University, Jonathan has been kept very busy trying to balance school, with his real passion, music. “It’s tough, and I’m sure that many of my peers can understand where I’m coming from. You go to College, and the choices that you make now are going to effect the rest of your life. That’s a scary thing to come to grips with.” This is what influenced the title of his album and the writing of the song: “Whole New Me”. “To me that song is about putting on your good disguise, just so you can say, ‘look, I’m doing this, this, and this, and I’ve got my whole life all planned out’, but then at the end of the day, you still don’t know where your life is going.” Born and raised as a Texas native, Jonathan knew that in and around Austin was where he wanted to be. Rich with music and culture, it is the perfect setting for an aspiring musician. With a steadily growing fan base, and honest, heartfelt lyrics, keep your eyes open for this rising star. "Jonathan Clay can sing, craft a catchy tune and handle a guitar, it can't take long before this young talent is noticed and signed up." Eric Boisson - www.ericnroll.com "This seven-song disc starts off with the track, "A Little Time”, but Clay wastes no time in greeting his fans and listeners with premium songwriting, embedded with soulful vocals and genuinely graceful guitar playing" "Fans of artists like John Mayer, Maroon 5, and Jack Johnson will truly embrace Jonathan Clay" "Because he truly has the potential to go places with his talents; when and if the right people hear his work." - www.entertainmentnutz.com
