Social House is an American musical duo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As of 2020, the duo has released five singles. 　　Michael “Mikey” Foster and Charles “Scootie” Anderson formed Social House after moving to Los Angeles from Pittsburgh and working in the same production studio and named themselves after the WiFi network at the home in which they were living when they formed. They started out writing and producing songs for other artists, including Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor,Jennifer Lopez,Chris Brown and Steve Malcolm. 　　After individual projects slowed and they had downtime, the duo decided to work on music together following the encouragement of peers who listened to music they were experimenting with together.After creating a song together that they loved, they decided to form a group. 　　On June 8, 2018, the duo released their debut single “Magic in the Hamptons” featuring rapper Lil Yachty, which was written about The Hamptons and they describe as “an ode to love.” Social House recorded the track in a bedroom closet. The song has earned more than 70 million streams on Spotify. 　　In September 28, 2018, their second single, “Higher” was released which they say is “aimed at setting the world on fire.” 　　At the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, Social House introduced Ariana Grande's performance of “God is a Woman,” alongside model Karlie Kloss. 　　Social House cites Drake, Chris Martin of Coldplay and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith among their dream collaborations. They draw inspiration from a variety of genres and artists, such as, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac and DMX. 　　Social House will join Ariana Grande on her Sweetener World Tour in 2019.
