Wells, who is heard before he found fame withCount Basie's Orchestra, is featured on three numbers (including a memorable "Bugle Call Rag")with three trumpets (Bill ColemanShad Collins, andBill Dillard), guitaristDjango Reinhardt, and a pianoless rhythm section; three other songs use the same group, withColemanas the only trumpeter.
