This is a 20-track anthology gathering both solo material by British pop singer Marti Pellow and songs by his original band Wet Wet Wet. 　　 　　Marti Pellow Sings the Hits of Wet Wet Wet effectively replaces the group's two greatest-hits collections, End of Part One and Part One, gathering highlights from Wet Wet Wet's career such as the international hit "Love Is All Around" as well as singles like "Angel Eyes," "Sweet Little Mystery," "Temptation," and "With a Little Help from My Friends." While the band's smooth, soulful pop sound isn't exactly cutting edge, it hasn't dated much since Wet Wet Wet's late-'80s/early-'90s heyday, either. Pellow's romantic yet raspy delivery is the star attraction here, both on their biggest hits and on songs like "Goodnight Girl," "She's All on My Mind," "Julia Says," and "Hard to Cry."
