After turning out many lackluster, overproduced albums in the late 1980s and early ´90s, Nascimento is back at the top of his form with this album, full of rich melodies, powerful rhythms and wonderful lyrics. A great complement to this CD is the marvelous book "The Brazilian Sound," which devotes an entire chapter to Nascimento and which I also purchased through Amazon.com.
