Eclectic, challenging and accomplished both lyrically and musically, this 1971 album deserved a lot wider audience than it got at the time. It s something of a singer-songwriter showcase for Barbara Mauritz, but the band s backing arrangements are so striking and so ingenious that it s clearly the work of a band, not a solo artist.
