But it doesn't sound dated, either, as producer Steve Buckingham exercises taste and sensitivity in coming up with excellent tracks that effectively showcase LaVette's style. Although this album is out of print, the excellent, sadly neglected single "Right in the Middle (Of Falling in Love)" can fortunately be found on a pair of Motown collections, and are thus worth seeking out.
