Nada Es Igual

简介: Chenoa's third time out is aptly named. Nada Es Igual ("Nothing Is the Same") favors aggressive, distorted guitar rock over Chenoa's previous well loved club-ready dance-pop. Working with European super-producer Dado Parisini has left it's mark. The tone of the record is emotive, gritty and dramatic. The rock overtones are a powerful shift, and it seems to suit Chenoa well. At least the fans certainly think so. Though she still has a receptive audience in Latin America, the U.S. market seems not to have taken much notice. But as sales continue to climb, Chenoa ought not mind. Nada Es Igual achieved double platinum status in no time. This is the first of her productions to be recorded exclusively on European soil. It's also the first of her records written exclusively for Spanish speaking listeners. Her vocal performance is consistent in style and quality with previous releases. This 2005 CD certainly marks the development of Chenoa's stylistic voice, if not her personal performance. The young artist seems to be breaking away from her pop-television roots and moving towards more genuine artistry. As Chenoa and her creative team begin to figure out who she wants to be with Nada Es Igual, one thing remains the same; she can't seem to record a bad record.
