简介: Yet another in a long list of Capitol best-of and live collections for the red rocker, the Rematch & More CD (originally just Rematch when released in 1982 on vinyl) has five more tracks than the original LP, including a nice live version of the Sammy Hagar-penned Montrose classic "Bad Motor Scooter." Highlights include each of the first three cuts "Red," "I've Done Everything for You," and "Rock and Roll Weekend." All of these songs were hard rock radio mainstays in the late '70s and early '80s, and, with the exception of "Bad Motor Scooter," they are probably the best tunes included in either version of this release. The omission of "20th Century Man" is a small disappointment, and the inclusion of extra tracks like "Keep On Rockin" are a bit puzzling when considering the entire Capitol-era Hagar discography. Hagar completists might be interested in either -- or both -- of these releases, depending on whether or not a vinyl option is desirable, but ultimately, Rematch & More has little to offer outside of the four standout tracks mentioned above, and each of these are included in other live and greatest-hits collections.
