The intro to the rollicking "I Can't Get Enough" reminds you of the Four Tops' "I Can't Help Myself." "Rack Me Back" is a blues song, complete with a guitar solo on the break and sassy lyrics. He tries to get a piece of Lionel Richie's audience with "When a Woman's Cries" which features his light tenor crooning to a piano. He gets back to being Smokey on "You Take Me Away," a pretty love song and the only compelling number here. "Double Good Everything" is a bar rocker that Smokey fans aren't accustomed to; the exotic-sounding "Rewind" is more his style and comes off better. The producer had Smokey singing in too many genres -- you got blues, soul, pop, and slivers of country and reggae all in one package. Though pleasant and inoffensive, this will disappoint even diehard Smokey Robinson fans and won't win him many new ones.
