I Believe in You (MAXI-CD)

简介: While Kylie Minogue consistently makes the right collaborations, the same can't be said of Madonna. After the excellent Body Language, Kylie returns to the electronic whizz of Fever by working with Babydaddy and Jake Shears from one of 2004's most promising bands, The Scissor Sisters. The result - a good retro-electro mix complete with a lovingly dreamy chorus that seems to complement Ms Minogue's voice so flawlessly. This has to be one of the better singles out of 2004 besides the string of campy songs from the sisters hemselves. It's clearly a right move for Kylie and if it's a sign of things to come, I am certainly waiting for Kylie's next album. Mylo's Vocal Mix of I Believe You removes the charm of the original and replaces it with a slightly repetitive Euro dance beat. Certianly not one of Mylo's best mixes if you have heard stuff from his own album. The Sylark Mix raises the barometer a tad bit more with a more dancefloor friendly backbeat and melody with little vocals. The video to I Believe In You is simple yet beautifully shot with an airy quality to itand Kylie moving inside a big rotating wire cage. For the title track itself, this CD is worth buying. PS: CD1 of this single should have only two tracks, I Believe In You and BPM. This tracklisting with remixes and video should go to CD2 (Enhanced). Amazon.com should change the error.
