Burrell is joined by bassist Ron Carter, drummer Grady Tate and either altoist Phil Woods or (on "Wholly Cats") pianist Richard Wyands; vibraphonist Mike Mainieri guests on "As Long as I Live." Unfortunately the playing time of this LP is brief (a touch under 32 minutes) and the now-obscure set has been out-of-print for quite awhile but the music is excellent. Highlights include "Poor Butterfly," "Stompin' at the Savoy," "Rose Room" and "A Smooth One."
