简介: Since reuniting back in 2016, Grammy nominated band Underoath have been busy playing sold out shows all over the country. While fans have been ecstatic on seeing the band perform live again, many of them were wondering if they would ever release some new material. Rumors went into overdrive yesterday when fans revealed a countdown clock and a 30 second clip online. Today, the band happily announced their first studio album in eight years. Underoath's new studio album is titled Erase Me, and it will be released on April 6 via Fearless Records. The band decided to give fans their first taste of the record with the song "On My Teeth." The album was recorded last summer with producer Matt Squire, who has worked with platinum selling acts such as Panic! at the Disco, Ariana Grande, and Boys Like Girls. "There's been 11,000 things we've been through so you would think, almost rhetorically, 'What do you need now?' All of us are finally in that place in our lives where the only thing we care about is inclusion for everybody — for the world. For me, exclusion is the scariest thing in the world. And I think UNDERØATH coming back now with a new record — which none of us thought was possible — we want people to know that this is your music and you can feel however the fuck you want about it. I just want to prove that we are doing everything in the most honest way we ever have. This is the healthiest we've ever been as a group of people, as musicians, and in our worldview." Underoath will be performing at numerous festivals around the world, including Fort Rock in Sunrise, Florida on April 28. A proper headlining tour in support of the new album will be announced in the near future.
