At 16 Zuri is the youngest member of a very musical family. She has been focused on guitar/songwriting for the last 2 years. In a very short time she has blossomed into a full fledged artist. Drawing on different influences Zuri weaves a complex pattern of sound and words into a very pleasing result. She has always been wise for a child, exploring a whole range of human emotion. Her unschooled guitar technique compliments her singing to the max. Zuri uses a combination of chords and finger picking to create a contrapuntal backdrop for her songs. 　　 　　The CD "Timmy" represents a burst of creativity from a young and talented artist. These 9 songs are recorded in the most natural setting possible. Far from the studio the equipment was set up in the local high school auditorium and a pure performance, unhampered by effects, was captured. With no overdubbing this recording brings Zuri's natural abilities to the fore. 　　 　　In todays breakneck pace the world will easily find a place for the soft and intense sounds that Zuri puts forth.
