Heartthrob is Tegan and Sara's seventh studio album, which was released in Turkey, Greece, and South Africa January 28, 2013. It is scheduled to be released January 29, 2013 in the US and Canada, February 8, 2013 in Australia and February 11, 2013 in Europe. 　　Tegan and Sara started recording their seventh studio album on February 20, 2012 and ended in May 2012. The band released a series of eight videos entitled "Carpool Confessional" while in the studio to document the recording progress. The first single, "Closer", was released on September 25, 2012. The music video for "Closer", directed by Isaac Rentz, debuted November 28, 2012 on Spin.com.
