This CD from the fine conga player finds his octet in excellent form on originals, obscurities, an unusual Latinized "Shiny Stockings," and "Tin Tin Deo." A couple songs have group vocals, but the emphasis is on the group's heated rhythms and the fine solos of Dick Mitchell (on alto and tenor) and trumpeter Sal Cracchiolo.
