X计划 　　While this weekend’s Todd Phillips-produced teen party flick might feel like a real-time, sporadic trip to a massive suburban blowout (thanks to its handheld camera-style approach), the Project X soundtrack is anything but lo-fi. That said, excess in the movie matches the epic set of songs here to make the OST, in which rock, hip-hop, house, drum and bass, indie synth-rock, and — the most out of left field cut — James Blunt’s “Beautiful” comprise the sprawling set of jams to bolster the film’s fun tone. As for an official soundtrack, 13 songs were released for the OST, with dozens of notable tracks appearing only on the screen. Among all tunes, which were compiled by The Playlist, are cuts by a number of our favorite artists, including the late, great LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The xx, Dead Prez, Kanye, The Kills, and many more.
