简介: Sahara has created a new wave of classical music under the creative drive of saxophonist and composer Sarah Louise Ings, formed in September 2007. Sahara is an all girl band made up of string trio and saxophone, graduates of the British Conservatoires. Performing with beat boxer and vocalist Wayne Robinson (currently playing the lead role in the Lion King, Euro Disney, Paris) collaborating with jazz pianist Anthony Strong (appearing with Charlotte Church and Michael Bolton).
Young and hip, Sahara perform a fusion of Tango’s, Classical and Hip Hop music written by Sarah Louise Ings drawing on influences from Karl Jeinkins, Nyman, Piazzolla and MC Solaar. Performing to sell out audiences of all ages this group is creating a stir within the classical crossover market.
Their individual success of these world class musicians must not go unrecognized having performed at the Purcell Rooms, The NEC, Ronnie Scotts, Top of The Pops, the Vortex, tours with Yamaha and Classic FM, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Together this eclectic group of musicians is unstoppable.
