classy renditions of american popular music of the 1920s,30s and 40s,jazz and swing: Orlando continues to epitomise the unique art of the old style jazz influenced crooner.With a new MTV generation of music lovers, the golden age of style in jazz has been out of vogue, especially since the 1980s and 90s. There may well now be a generation of young musicians 'spearheading' a revival, but it remains to be seen whether they, or anyone else could recapture and maintain the class,poise and elegance that is reminiscent of the stylish vocalists of the 1920s,30s and 40s. The surviving maestro Tony Bennett may have kept the torch burning, but perhaps with Orlando that spark may burst into flame again...soon.
