简介: The music to Hallmark Hall of Fame's film "The Lost Child" is perhaps Mark McKenzie's most meditative, reflective and endearing movie music for chamber symphony. Rich with gentle themes, the warmth and beauty will uplift and inspire you. Originally an Intrada Records release, the CD sold out quickly years ago and has been sought after by soundtrack lovers and collectors with little success.  We are happy to announce it is now finally available via Cd Baby, itunes, amazon and other outlets thanks to Hallmark Hall of Fame Music in Kansas City.  "The Lost Child" director Karen Arthur says: "Mark’s score is epic yet intimate, surrounding and supporting the vistas as it infuses the characters and the story with deep emotion. Lush, lyrical and intensely human...it is timeless." "Without fail, Mark McKenzie is able to consistently deliver some of the most beautiful music to grace film or a soundtrack label." says Track Sounds reviewer Christopher Coleman in his "The Lost Child" review. Hallmark's 206th feature length film for television, starring Academy Award Winner Mercedes Ruehl premiered on CBS November 19th, 2000. This true story of a Native American woman who discovers her biological family, unconditional love, a nurturing spiritual heritage, and a father's affirmation. The story powerfully conveys the strength that comes from a loving, emotionally and spiritually connected family. Mark McKenzie's goal was to compose melodic, pastoral, emotional and beautiful music to support the drama and vistas of "The Lost Child." There are numerous solos with harp, cello, piano, classical guitar, flute, oboe, and clarinet; often with underlying muted strings. The Indian ethnic music is subtle, yet present in the wooden flute.        We hear from listeners that they find positive emotional release in repeated listening of this particular musical score. For that reason, we invite you to consider sending this as a gift to friends, especially those who might be going through a stressful life experience. There is a gentle, peace filled, healing, beauty in Mark McKenzie's timeless music to "The Lost Child."
