简介: IF YOU WERE EVER YOUNG AND IN LOVE IF YOU WERE EVER HURT BY LOVE IF YOU WERE EVER ANGRY IF YOU WERE EVER CONSUMED BY LOVE IF YOU EVER DREAMT OF LOVE THEN COME WITH MELLE AND RE-LIVE THOSE FEELINGS. THIS IS MELLE At twenty-one years of age and with a solid music background behind her, Melle is ready to enter the pop arena with confidence. An All Saints College music student tutored by Lisa Harper-Brown and then by Andrew Foote, she has the talent and the professionalism to justify the credits she has been receiving to date. She already has an independently released single out called Never Been So Sad which sold nationally through major outlets. Some reviews to date: CHAOS MUSIC.COM Melle's passion for singing was evident from age 4 and has been the driving force above all else ever since. Her first single Never Been So Sad was inspired by the cycle of hurt, anger, love and hope that is life. This four-track release: 'Never Been So Sad', 'Ask Yourself', 'Spoken Whispers' and 'Guiding Star' is in the vein of Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion. Melle is a young talent with a promising future. SPIN OUT- BARFLY With the requisite exposure, Melle could be right up there with Celine, Tina and Natalie. 96.1FM Lovely voice-great presence. HEARD.COM (March 5th 2000) MELLE - Opportunity has been knocking loudly for Melle lately. She has just spent two weeks in India working with Karthik and Uvan Raja on her next album. The brothers are the sons of Illaya Raja, the legend of the film music industry who has just completed the music score for Hey Ram, which has been receiving rave reviews on the Internet. Never shy of work Melle did some radio work in Singapore on the way over and sang with the guys at 'Anywhere" just off Orchard. In Mumbai she was coerced into singing each night for the guests at her hotel and did a voice over for an international documentary to help crippled children but she had to pass on singing in Hindi on a Bollywood movie as she ran out of time. Melle was asked to fill in for Rob Guest on Telethon 98, has sung at the Australia Day Concert on the Esplanade and also at the Austcare Refugee Concert in Forrest Chase. Her latest single called Seeds of Hope was released to raise funds for refugees and has become a Peace Anthem internationally. It has been played in schools, at peace rallies, at drug awareness meetings and many venues throughout the world wherever a message of hope for peace and harmony has been required. Melle is currently working on material for her next album which she will be working on with Indian composers Yuvan Shanka-Raaja and Karthik Raaja in early 2001. THE MUSIC After being hurt several times in relationships, I realised that I was forever being caught up in a cycle of hurt, anger, love and hope which became a great story that I knew others would relate to. "Never been so sad" is about the pain you feel when someone who you love hurts you. It expresses all of the emotions that go along with being hurt. Disappointment, betrayal, and broken promises. "Ask yourself" is a release of the anger and frustration I was feeling once the truth had actually hit me. "Spoken whispers" is a confession that, Hey, what do you know... I've fallen in love again!! I wanted the whole world to know. Finally, "Guiding star" is a song of commitment and dreams and a realisation that life is for living! I hope that my songs can reach out to the broken-hearted lovers of today and show them that it's really not the end of the world - there is love all around. You just have to be willing to "let someone touch you". Melle
