On their third release, Opposite Shores, The Dandelion War simplified their approach, relying less on electronics and more on analog instrumentation. The result, recorded on 2” tape at San Francisco’s legendary Tiny Telephone, is a collection of songs that maintain the band’s established blend of ambient indie and post-rock while adding heightened senses of intimacy and urgency. The songs are loosely organized around a theme of bridges, focusing on isolation and the challenging process of establishing links between disconnected people and places.
