简介: The Every Day Blues Band is pleased to present our first studio album. Generally known as a live performance band, having started as the house band for a monthly blues jam, the band is adept at improvisational performance. The studio album presents a completely different mode of music creation with a more defined structure. We have melded the structured requirements of working in a studio with the improvisational nature of our live performance work to create an listening experience that changes from song to song, but maintains the essence of the band and our fundamental basis in the blues. With the unbelievable timing and creative fills of Joel Duhon laying the foundation for our sound, and the funky and energetic bass line provided by the Reverend Levi McClafferty adding to the structure, the album moves through a variety of songs, from the lighthearted shuffle of "Unrequited Blues", through the funky instrumental "Turkey Grease", and on into the Chuck Berry style rocker "She's Gonna Run From You", and finally with the down and dirty blues of "I'm So Blue, I'm Seeing Red". Guitarist Andy Tenberg demonstrates flair, touch, and a touch of funk though out the album and also lends vocals on the Buddy Guy classic, "What Kind of Woman is This?" Eric Sims adds the final pieces to the puzzle with his bold vocals and a touch of baritone saxophone for that unique Every Day Blues Band sound. Tenberg and Sims teamed up to create six of the original songs on the album, with the lyrics and melodies by Sims enhanced and enlivened by Tenberg's musical constructs. Tenberg contributes the funky instrumental "Turkey Grease" as well as the concept which drives the completely re-imagined delta blues classic, "Hesitation Blues". Sims contributes the uptempo "Raven Black Hair" to get you on your feet! It is our belief that the Blues is music for living, it should make you want to move, feel the emotions of living and loving, and we hope that you will experience those feelings as you listen to our music. At the end of the day, it's all about telling the stories of life for others to share and appreciate. We hope you like our stories!
