About Big Smo 　　John Smith A.K.A. Big Smo, founder and owner of Yayoda Records was born Feburary 14, 1976, in San Diego California. Moving to Shelbyville, Tennesse in 1980, enabled Big Smo to begin his musical journey. As a child & teen Little Smo would find pleasure in music as a way to express his happiness.... as well as his anger! In 2000, Big Smo and partner Dj Orig established Yayoda Records as an independent label in Tennessee. Big Smo and Dj Orig have established themselves as song writers, producers, and musicians. Yayoda Records released their first album in 2003, called "Big Smo's Kuntry Kitchen". In Spring 2003, Yayoda Records began producing commercials and voice over workshops in conjuction with Robin's Management Company. When introduced to film, Big Smo embraced it as his new tool of expression & found himself Directing Low-Budget Music Videos as well as Extreme Hood Documentaries. Our label has produced an impressive roster talented & focused Artists. Yayoda's talent is growing by the day, with new artists such as BLINDSYDE & The Foundation,Eppie Cataldo's Folk-Funk Project & even my Young Hommies,The STACK BOYZ, we are on our way to a successful New Year in 09'.Big Smo's solo album, "The True South" is in stores NOW, So go out & get you a copy of the HOTTEST Southern Hip-Hop CD EVER!
