简介: The 25th anniversary album from Celtic music super group, Cherish the Ladies. Recorded in Nashville with some of the elite musicians and singers on the scene, the album features Nashville singing legends; Vince Gill, Nanci Griffith and Maura O'Connell along with Dobro icon Rob Ickes, banjo ace Alison Brown, upright bass maestro, Dennis Crouch, Kenny Malone on percussion and Jimmy Higgins on bodhran. A fantastic collection of great songs and tunes including some guest spots from a few of the alumni in the band; Eileen Ivers, Liz Carroll, Deirdre Connolly and Liz Knowles.
"For Cherish the Ladies, named after a popular Irish traditional jig, the jig is not up. Madden's tenacious but tactful helming of the ensemble should be studied in business schools. It should also be scrutinized in music schools. For 25 years and counting, Cherish the Ladies have shown that Irish traditional music from America remains a vibrant, diasporic marvel. "Country Crossroads: The Nashville Sessions" provides unimpeachable proof and will definitely appear in my top ten list of albums for 2011." Earle Hitchner, The Irish Echo
