This album was recorded during a week long retreat at a small cabin in upstate New York. The band recorded almost all of the material their at that time (with the exception of a few vocal overdubs which were tracked in one of the members home studio). The album is completely self produced and self engineered. 　　Clover bassist/vocalist, Michael Guthaus on VULTURES: 　　"VULTURES is a concept album. Lyrically, we have never chosen to use a concept or theme with any of our other releases. With this record, we want to really push the boundaries of what we are capable of and do something completely different. Having a very focused centralized theme to the lyrics just seemed like the right thing to do."
