简介: A 5-CD album containing 105 tracks created on the Amiga computer by Bjorn "Dr. Awesome of Crusaders" Lynne in the years 1987-1993 approx. All created 100% on Amiga with Soundtracker, Noisetracker, Protracker and OctaMED trackers.
This album is a historical document of sorts, charting the underground Amiga demo scene career of Norwegian Amiga musician Bjorn Lynne, aka "Dr. Awesome of Crusaders". The 5-CD album really contains 105 tracks, but since there was a technical limit of 100 tracks on a single album, some of the tracks were joined together into one audio file and put on the disc as one track, even though they are 2-3 different tracks in each.
All the music here was created on Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200 computers in the period of 1987 to 1993 approx. All samples are 8-bit and the music was directly exported from the Amiga to CD, without any remixing, fixing, mastering, reverb, or any other form of processing. This is *exactly* as they sounded from the start.
Some tracks use "synth" or "chip sounds" generated from JamCracker or OctaMED built-in simple synth engines. For example, Hotwired 1-4, Stardance, Mem-saver, Session, Cyberlife, Cyberlife 2 and a few others.
The artwork was created by Rico Holmes, legendary Amiga graphics artist behind the graphics in Amiga games such as Superfrog, Project X, Alien Breed and many, many others.
Be sure to also check out the Dr. Awesome album "Early Game Soundtracks" which is a 3-CD album containing Amiga- and PC video game soundtrack music from the late 1980's and early 90's created with Amiga and PC computers.
