简介: Tony is still playing and singing the music he has always loved - great ballads, swing and latin tunes, the songs from his mexican-american heritage.
His singing reflects the warmth of the writer's lyrics with a jazz touch added to his swing numbers. He has been doing this since he was 15 years old in his home town of Chicago, singing at weddings, parties or anywhere there was an opportunity. As one friend put it, "If Tony gets a crowd of three, he starts singing." He toured the midwest in the 50s with a moderately successful rock group, "The Rock-A-Tones," before moving on as a single playing Chicago, Denver, Vegas and finally Los Angeles. He formed a group in L. A. and worked some of the major hotels and clubs.
Between gigs he sings on weekends for the love of it at various "singers' clubs" with other retired, but still performing, ex-professional and non-professional singers and musicians. This is Tony's second CD. His first was recorded in 1987, "I Return to Music."
"Dedicated to my family and friends and others who love the classic standards and the writers of this kind of music that I know will never fade. When all the 'new music' is gone, you can always go to this music because the quality is eternal. I hope that you enjoy my work and that it brings you some happy times and memories."
