简介: I've worked with Tina for the last 10 years, playing piano and doing some arrangements for her as well. Her style is hard to categorize, she is very unique. I've backed plenty of singers but no one as talented as Tina, who sings lyrics to songs as if she wrote them. I call her my "singing storyteller" because every song seems to be so personal. She is a breath of fresh air and to see her perform live is incredible-I've heard people say they think she's singing directly to them. The first time I heard her, she was singing with a Dixie group having the time of her life. I thought she was good and then she changed the mood and sang "Round Midnight".It was awesome, the voice so clear and cool and dark. The spell was cast. Then I had the usual wedding reception gig and Tina was the singer. I thought to myself, how is Ms. Dixie going to do this? Incredibly enough, she was swinging standards, jazz and some oldie rock and roll. The most interesting thing of the evening was it turned into a concert! The wedding party and guests pulled up chairs while Tina sang one song after another, all the while having the guests in the palm of her hand. Take a listen folks---one song and she's gotcha!
