简介:  Members:   Raz -Drums   Salem -Guitars   Sarj -Vocals   Tazz -Bass      Revelerz formed in 1996 when Raz and Tazz found Salem, incidentally an unusual way. Salem was discovered by a friend, Floyd Menezes at a beach, while he was playing his guitar. The trio mainly comprised the band, but also worked with a few vocalists namely Robin and Sid Naqvi.      Salem left for the USA for his master’s degree in 1998 and in the meantime the band worked with Al Kandari cousins on a garage album called 'Buried Alive'. The album was available for free downloads until recently. Sarj joined as vocalist in 2001, and keyboardist Hasib joined in 2003. The band performed various gigs with the new line-up until 2005      Salem and Tazz started work on the current studio album early 2005. Raz, in Montreal worked alone developing drum patterns for the album at Solo Drums, and finally was first to record on the album at Paramedia Studios, downtown Montreal. Rest of the band recorded the album in Kuwait at Sarj’s Studio, and completed the project in July. The album was mastered at SoundLab, NJ USA.         Members biography:      Raz -Drums      Raz started out learning Indian ethnic precussion, namely the Tabla at a very you age, back in 1975, trained by a profession Tabla player who also was a family friend He later quit tabla, and switched to modern drums. ِAt age 15 Raz was already performing at school events with various school bands.      Favorite drummers: Nicko McBrain. Nigel Glockler.      Favorite Artists and Bands : Black Sabbath, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Dire Straits, Cold Play, Bruce Dickinson, Mark Knopfler, Ronnie James Dio.      Gear: Trak. Pearl Custom. DW500 double pedal. Cymbals: Paiste, Original hand-made China cymbal.      Salem -Guitars      Salem grew up in the United States and most of teenage years were spent in Michigan. Later, he went to school in Denver, Colorado and graduated with a bachelors in civil engineering in 2003.      At age 10, he picked up his instrument, the violin and played at his first concert with the school orchestra in 6th grade. He got into guitars and bought his first Fender guitar when he was 18 and was mainly listening to and playing hard rock and metal. Later, he picked up other guitar styles such as funk and jazz and was in funk-rock and jazz bands in Denver for a quite long period until he joined Revelerz in 1996.      Favorite musicians: Metallica, Creed, Bon Jovi, Nickelback and Pantera.      Favorite guitarist: Stevie Vai, Dime Darrell, Zakk Wylde and Mike Tremonti.      Gear: Schecter, Jackson, Ibanez and Ovation. Amps: Marshall VS100 stack amp, a line 6 spider III amp. Effects: POD XT live.      Sarj -Vocals      As a child, Sarj was an enthusiastic impersonator of rock bands. With a dream to be a vocalist, he started out crooning nu-metal bands like Linkin Park, Papa Roach, KoRn etc. back in 2000. Sarj got his break with Revelerz, when the band performed a series of underground gigs in 2001.      In recent years, Sarj got into sound engineering and plans to open a good semi-professional recording studio mainly for the modern artists and bands who want to get their music recorded, mixed and mastered the proper way      Gear: M-Audio FireWire 1814 recording interface, Alesis M1 active reference monitors, Digidesign Pro Tools M-Powered 7.3, Toontrack EZdrummer and other little gadgets and software.      Tazz -Bass      Starting out as a bassist in school days is self-learnt bassists, drawing most of his influences from bands such as; Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. His first band was an instrumental school band called The Rebellion, with two classmates and a school drummer. They performed various artists in their own unique style. Later, he performed for various events and bands, always forming a drummer/bassist team with his brother Raz. Tazz, Salem and Raz have been together as a band since 1996.      Favorite bassists: Steve Dawson, Jimmy Baine, Geezer Butler, Steve Harris and John Taylor      Favorite artists and bands: Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath, Saxon, Rainbow, Dio, Iron Maiden, Duran Duran, and Blondie.      Gear: Ibanez Roadstar II and 5-string Ibanez DWB35 with active EMG pickups. Amps: Fender BXR Sixty, Roland DB500, and Sound Master 30B. Effects: Korg Pandora Box, Zoom 506II Bass.
