简介: Innovative trio from Reno, Nevada, aims to rejuvenate pop music with genuine song writing and an electric crunch RENO, Nev. — Pop music has taken many forms over the past century: from suave rockabilly heartthrobs to psychedelic voyages, downbeat synth-heavy dance grooves to grubby grunge anthems, bass heavy hip hop to bubblegum punk. But after all this motion, all this genre bending, where is its next destination? The three young members of CRUSH aspire to bring pop music to a whole new realm, somewhere beyond the fields of detached songwriting and over-produced material dominating the modern radio scene. With Daniel Sion (21) on bass guitar and vocals, Aaron Sion (18) on guitar and vocals, and Jimmy Dunn (17) on drums and vocals, CRUSH rocks the house in a fresh new way. The group maintains the rock band aesthetic while producing a sound that hits hard in all frequencies. The group runs their entire mix through Ableton Live on a Mac laptop, embellishing their mix with filters and sequenced instruments. Picture a live rock band being DJ-ed and digitalized in real time. Now you are looking at CRUSH. With heavy synths, over-driven bass, crystallized guitar and computer-enhanced drums, CRUSH brings the rock band to the next level. The sound is best described as electro-infused rock, with song writing coming from all three corners of the band. Paying homage to the song writing of groups such as The Beatles and Green Day, CRUSH delivers a fortune of catchy originals in the form of crunchy, dubstep inspired productions with a lingering rock attitude. The band does not fail to branch out, with songs varying from fast paced punk, to slow grunge, from hard house rave to dubstep.
