简介: "Blue Electric Cool" is the third CD from Guitar Instrumentalist Curtis.
A captivating mix of Instrumental Rock, Acid Jazz and Surf, "Blue Electric Cool" takes the "Instrumental Guitar" genre a step further.
Each track is different from the next, yet there is a common thread that ties them all together; the balance between composition, soulful playing and virtuosity.
The shifting moods take you on a trip away from yourself, not unlike a good movie or book. The guitar is front and center, but the variety of tones and styles allow it to be enjoyed by people other than guitar players. "Blue Electric Cool" has great musicianship AND great tunes.
Curtis Fornadley, "a guitar slinger with a worldwide view and the technical ability to explore it" (Music Connection), is a native of southern California. His band, Rob Chismar (drums) originally from Detroit and Dave Hill (bass) from Seattle have been in L.A. long enough to call it home. Curtis's self-titled debut CD (1998) and his second CD, "Room 137" (2001) "demonstrate the guitarist's impressive skills both as a guitar stylist and composer" (20th Century Guitar).
Curtis was one of ten finalists in Guitar Player Magazines "Guitar Hero 2007" competition. His next album, "Out of the Shell" is due for release in January 2008.
"Just to let you know that BEC kicks major #ss."
- Richard Kolp, Oak Creek, WI
"I LOVE your CD's. I collect instrumental guitar music on CD, which I have close to 1000 CD's. Your CD is up high on the list. Thank you for the great sound, very nice. Keep on Jamming"
-Armando, Sunrise, FL
"I really, really, really like your CD. This will be an album I listen to regularly; It is seriously good stuff. I've really gotten into instrumental guitar music like Satriani and this is better than several of his albums (although Surfing With the Alien is killer)."
-John Renehan, South Lyon, MI
"Love your artistry and vision of music. Keep it coming."
-Randall Prince, Angier, NC
