Malcolm Hayes, a.k.a, J-Von, was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Hayes started rapping in the early 90’s and was first affiliated with Concentration Camp before teaming up with producer KolordPimp to work on his first solo album KolordPimp Presents J-Von. His influences include Slick Rick, Eric B and Rakim, and Dana Dane.
