简介:  In late 2011, in New York, Grammy winner and Hall of Famer, Dr. John (Mac Rebennack) recorded a song called ALL WASHED UP (THEY SAY), in response to BP's destructive oil spill. Mac felt he needed to write "a love letter to the resilience of the people of New Orleans. " The song was co-written by Daniel Neiden and Paul Muldoon, mixed and mastered by John Porter.      It was the last piece arranged and orchestrated by Rebennack's longtime friend and collaborator, Wardell Quezergue ("The Creole Beethoven"), with vocal arrangements by Charles Czarnecki. Producers: Rebennack, Neiden, Czarnecki, Porter, June Rachelson-Ospa, and Nick Lopez/27 Jesters. Friends who play on the record include Tony Garnier (Bass), Larry Saltzman (Guitar), Henry Butler (Piano), Alex Foster (Sax) and Adrian Harpham (Drums). Vocals include, Christine Ohlman, Jimmy Hayes and Jenni Muldaur. All proceeds go to SAVE THE WETLANDS PROJECT, a charity started by Dr. John via The New Orleans Musicians Clinic.
