简介: This is my third musical celebration of Sedona, where I’ve lived for almost two decades now. The songs reflect what I love and enjoy here. Throughout you can hear the nature sounds I’ve recorded in and around the area. Jesse Kalu's wonderful bamboo flutes are added to 10 of the 15 songs. “Storm Coming” starts with summer thunder and rain that’s part of the monsoon season. Midday it’s hot and by mid afternoon the clouds roll in and the day is cooled off with showers and very often there’s a rainbow to top it off. “Deep Water Meditation” starts off with the sounds of Oak Creek and it’s heard again in “Children In Oak Creek”. This creek flows down the canyon from Flagstaff through all of Sedona and beyond. It’s like the bloodstream, the life giver. A summer swim in it is a healing experience. Often on a full moon night drummers gather in the canyons to play in the silver glow. “Uptown Afternoon” brings another aspect of life here- the visitors and special events year round. We don’t get a lot of snow, but when we do it’s beautiful on the red rocks. Some feel the vortexes claimed for Sedona and I’ve had some spinning sensations in some. A “Quiet Mind” can be hard to come by, but the landscape here can be conducive to its welcome occurrence. “Voices In The Canyon” was conceived to convey the feeling of all the voices that are still echoing in these canyons from centuries past. We had fun trying to anyhow. If this album conveys to you just a fragment of the beauty and mystery of Sedona, Jesse and I will have done something worthwhile. Jesse's solo CDs and one other with me are also on CDBABY. Please check out my other CDs: New Visions In Sedona Dreams Of Sedona A Space Serene Tour Of The Galaxies Moonlight On Water Something Like Jazz
