简介: "Since the very first beginning of things, poetry has always aspired to music. After listening to Vakia Stavrou , it is very clear that her work comes from a primordial mystery. It carries that sense of purity in which poetry and music fuse. The work of Vakia Stavrou is an experiance of full balance, like a stream pouring peace into our soul " Jose Luis Peixoto - novelist Described from a portuguese journalist on a Lisbon main radio station's show, as an "apocalypse " for world music , Vakia Stavrou ,originally from the island of Cyprus, has been working and presenting her work in concerts all over Europe. After the great success of her composition " Sozinha " she has continued writing new songs and writing stories about people and different kind of situations of everyday life. An artist that simply shines when on stage, but modest and humble in her life, making a very interesting contrast. With the collaboration of the portuguese novelist , Jose Luis Peixoto on her new album "Anemoessa" who has written especially for her two poems that Vakia turn into songs , this journey has become even more inviting and challenging. Mediterranean sounds and colours , deep and soulful instruments could not be more ideal to match with Vakia's unique enchanting voice and direct interpretations. The album was mixed and produced by the parisian composer and sound designer Brifo - who previously collaborated on Patricia Kaas albums - and was arranged by the multi -instrumentalist and composer, Carlos Bernardo who has been a main collaborator to the 'Theatre du Soleil' in Paris for many years.
