简介: This recording includes "The Wild Blue," a song about kamikaze pilots in WW2. It's a true story, inspired by the documentary film, "Timewatch: Kamikaze" that you can find in its entirety online (48 minutes; fascinating). Over the years many people have contacted me about this song -- it is my hope that someday it becomes an opera -- it spans 50 years and two cultures. There's also a live performance of my song "The Sixth Floor," about the Kennedy Museum in Dallas, TX. Last year I was contacted by the museum about the song -- they had me come and do a performance at the museum itself. It's a very sobering kind of place -- anyone old enough to remember November 22, 1963 would get a lot of visiting The Sixth Floor.
There's also a song here about the day I chased a giant scary bug around my apartment for almost 24 hours. One thing I left out -- I ended up pouring an entire bottle of bleach down the bathtub drain. I was afraid my landlord would get mad if he knew, but I really did that. I am so afraid of bugs. But not bees anymore. Bees need our help. Don't kill a bee!
No one knew this show was being taped (not even me) -- so it's really a good example of what kind of experience you'd have going out to a folk concert. Never know who you might meet there.
