简介: In June of 2006 David McDonald completed a 30 year
teaching career, after having taught 4th, 5th and
6th grades during that time. Prior to his teaching
career he graduated cum-laude from Brockport State
University with a Bachelor of Science Degree and
went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education
from Nazareth College, Rochester, NY (1979).
Throughout his teaching career, David
was also active both recording and performing.
David released a 45 single in 1979 of his songs
"What a Life to be a Cowboy" and "Why Do You Treat
Me Like You Do", and in 1980 he released "Christmas
Spirit" and "Winter Song". During the 80's and 90's
David performed many concerts, often in schools but
also public concerts as well. Highlights of the
school concerts included doing the holiday songs
along with a 240 voice choir under the direction
of Mr. Fred DiCesare in the early 80's, as well
as numerous other Holiday concerts.
David performed the first concert ever at
the new performing arts stage at Ontario Beach Park,
and this concert was later simulcast on television
and radio, the first time that had been done in
Rochester. Other concerts were also broadcast live
on Public Television's WXXI.
