Like a phoenix from the ashes, The Embraced was born out of its members' desire to confront their differences and create music influenced by their different backgrounds. Maybe that's the reason their collaboration has created a sound separate from any other. 　　 　　"We aren't trying to be something we are not," said vocalist Christopher Bolin. "We stay true to ourselves and our values, and it comes through in our music.
