简介: Christmas 2015 brings stunning instrumentals and star-studded vocal duets from award-winning pianist and songwriter Jim Brickman, who is hailed by Billboard as the most charted radio artist of the Soundscan era. Brickman’s Comfort & Joy is available on Friday, October 30, 2015, exclusively at WalMart. Comfort & Joy, produced by Brickman and Steve Sundholm, brings new emotional piano solos and superstar duets with Johnny Mathis, John Oates, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Tracy Silverman, Charlie Alan and Leslie Odom, Jr. (Broadway’s Hamilton).
Brickman’s Christmas music has become “synonymous with the season.” With the 2014 release of On A Winter’s Night, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Holiday Album chart, and the 2013 release of The Magic of Christmas, his original Christmas songs brought him three chart-topping radio hits over the last two years. “Christmas is a season for nostalgia and new memories alike,” says Brickman. “There’s nothing I look forward to more than capturing special Holiday moments today, that will become precious memories for years to come.”
Brickman delivers choral magic with “Hallelujah, I Believe,” featuring Broadway’s Leslie Odom, Jr. (Hamilton, Smash). “I knew as I was writing this song that I wanted a soaring vocal performance,” says Brickman. “After seeing Leslie in Hamilton, I knew he would capture the spirit of this song beautifully.”
The light-hearted “Hitch A Ride With Santa” features the charming Charlie Alan. “Nothing says Christmas dreams more than the notion of someday riding on Santa’s sleigh,” says Brickman. “Charlie’s up-beat spirit truly captures the imagination.”
Brickman’s unique instrumental arrangements of Christmas classics like “Caroling, Caroling,” “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Angels We Have Heard On High,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Silver Bells” and “The First Noel” are accompanied by four new, original Brickman compositions including “Comfort & Joy” and “Thanksgiving.”
