GameShift: The Movement is Maryland emcee and producer ScholarMan's fifth studio album. ScholarMan has previously dropped other releases under former name "Scholar." He re-introduced himself in January of 2007 with his new modified name and sound with the release of "Candy Medicine" and again in 2008 with "Soul Purpose." 　　 　　Both of these albums were well-received by a good number in the hip-hop community; many who wanted to hear more, and he answers with a new and even more innovative album GameShift: The Movement. According to ScholarMan, the concept of his new album is simple: positive, forward movement. Everything is shifting, changing; from hip-hop, politics, the economy and more. On this album he is encouraging listeners to join him in the effort to shift the "game" in a more positive direction. 　　 　　ScholarMan states, "The game can be whatever cause you are fighting for; whether positive social change, justice, equality, peace or improvement of hip-hop.
