简介: Heart of Texas Records is pleased to announce our latest release-Mary Lou Turner "Friends And Memories." This is the first commercial Mary Lou Turner album in nearly twenty years! Mary Lou is singing better than ever and includes some of her favorite songs in this Heart of Texas album including the first song that she ever sang on the Grand Ole Opry "Cry" along with her former duet partner Bill Anderson's "Tip Of My Fingers." She also added favorites "Since I Met You Baby" "You've Still Got A Place In My Heart" "Make Friends" and "All His Children." She even re-recorded her hits "Love It Away" and "Old Habits Are Hard To Break." Mary Lou ended the project with a chilling version of "Precious Memories." "We are honored to have Mary Lou Turner joining our Heart of Texas family," Heart of Texas Records President Tracy Pitcox said. "She has brought a special class to Country Music and is a welcome addition to our roster." Born in Hazard, Kentucky, Mary Lou Turner began her successful career as a Country Music Artist in 1974, with her first popular song, All That Keeps Me Going. She followed that success with several other songs that reached the top 50 on the U.S. Country Charts, including “It's Different with You” “Love It Away” and “Cheatin' Overtime”. Turner may be best known for the duets she sang with Bill Anderson that reached the top 25 on the U.S. Country Charts, including “I'm Way Ahead of You” and “Where Are You Going, Billy Boy?” Turner and Bill Anderson released Sometimes in 1976, which reached Number 1 on the Country Charts. In that same year, she and Bill also released “That's What Made Me Love You” that reached number 7 on the country charts. Turner has performed in the theaters of Branson, Missouri for many years, starring with Boxcar Willie and Buck Trent, before joing the Grand Ladies of Country Music Show. In 2016, she signed with Heart of Texas Records releasing her debut album "Friends And Memories".
