简介: Kidd was born on July 25, 1987. A native of New Orleans Louisiana, Kidd first became interested in music as a child becoming one of the youngest members of his grade school band. He is a multitalented artist who writes, raps and produces his own beats. His early influences were Jay-Z, Timbaland, and Mannie Fresh. Kidd entered the music scene with his first rap band, Full Effect, where he performed many shows throughout the Southeastern United States.
Kidd’s beats and production ability gained such notoriety that, while still a teenager, he was given the opportunity to work with platinum recording artist Lil Flip as well as local record label Cash Money. His Southern-style beats are characterized by their explosive drum patterns, heavy bass lines and trendy tracks.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Kidd began working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in effort to help with the rebuilding of New Orleans. Currently Kidd is signed with Certified Coach Records and has just released several singles. His latest hit “Watch Me Do My Thing” is already being translated into Spanish where it is being released as a form of “Spanish Krunk.” The response to this song has been staggering and this formula will work for the majority of his songs. Kidd’s contagious beats can also be heard on Young Peedee’s new single “Toy Box.”
