简介: Sense Recordings was originally started in 2001 in Trowbridge, UK.
At this time Sense Recordings founder, Max Kent was involved in various DJ and live p.a. collaborations with colleagues and artists such as Si (Sub-Freq, Cryogen, 3.14 Man, STP-303), Ash (DJ Operon, Golden Orb Records), Dann (Stasis), James G Jnr (Excessive Nature, Eklektek). All early collaborations were based around Acid Techno & Psy Trance live acts with performances at many parties, clubs, raves & squats around the UK.
From this early start point a new, more chilled out sound was developed and the original recordings were put together for the first two recordings - Sense - The Particles and Sense - Nothing.
Inspired by the post-club sounds of electronic acts such as The Orb, Orbital & Aphex Twin, The Particles and Nothing were completed and Sense Recordings was born.
The website has gone through many incarnations, but now, with the advent of social media networking coupled with over 10 years of tracks from Sense Recordings from artists such as Sense, The Time, Excessive Nature & STP-303, Sense Recordings is back stronger than ever.
The first ever two releases, Sense - The Particles and Sense - Nothing are now available through I-Tunes, Amazon, Arkade, My Space, Facebook & CD Baby. This is the tip of the iceberg and over the coming months the entire Sense Recordings back catalogue of over 150 tracks, along side new and up coming artists and tracks will be available via the same channels.
This album 'Soundscapes in the Electric Comfy Chair' is the second full length release from Sense and features tracks written from 2002 - 2008.
Tracks such as 'The Void' and 'Downwards' featured in the Sense live set performed at Glastonbury Festival 2005 and are a natural progression to the feel of the first album 'Nothing' with hypnotic dubbed out beats coupled with dream like trance synths. Other tracks such as 'Warming Up The Vortex' and 'New Dawn' have a more ambient feel and provide interesting counterpoints to the more upbeat tracks.
'Soundscapes in the Electric Chair' is overall an evolving journey through chilled electronic sounds and dubbed out beats, providing the perfect backdrop for late night / early morning listening experiences.
