简介: Black Sun announces the September 30, 2013 independent release of their highly anticipated debut album Edge of Darkness. The band’s first single “Take Me Higher”, which sets the tone for the album, is available worldwide from iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and more, and has already gained some FM airplay in a few smaller markets. Their dark and gothic video for the song also signifies the band’s ambition to be a top contender in the hard rock scene. With a blend of modern rock and old school attitude, these hard-edged veteran musicians bring forward a sound that is both difficult to define and yet somehow familiar. Think of old riff-laden Aerosmith or Slash meets Sixx A.M. and you start to get the picture. A solo effort by guitarist Brad Wilson quickly turned into a tight knit band with co-founder and vocalist Azriel St. Michael. They were later joined by bassist Rikki C Ricci and drummer Tommy Loud. Produced by billboard charting producer and Hydrogyn guitarist Jeff Westlake, who also lends a hand performing and co-writing, the band also pulled in some star power with former Dio guitarist Tracy G performing the solo on Break Me and Julie Westlake of Hydrogyn handling back-up vocal duties. Following the release of the record the band plans to kick off live dates in Ontario, Canada followed by a U.S. tour starting in February of 2014.
