TASTE THE RAIN is the debut album by 　　singer / songwriter GORDON THOMSON 　　 　　I have been writing song lyrics and playing the guitar since the age of ten, was in a band in my teens but was continually searching for a more satisfying creative outlet. I finally found what i was looking for when I walked into Ocean Studios one hot day in July 2004 and met Mark Bhalla Without his knowledge and encouragement, "TASTE THE RAIN "would have have remained just a creative dream unfulfilled. Little did i know that a birthday gift of a day in his studio would send me on a journey of self discovery including extreme lows and impossible highs and every emotion in between. 　　 　　The simple truth is that i wrote what i thought about life, love, things etc 　　added a melody and if it pleased me and worked for me then it made me feel good and acted like a therapy to my creative soul. 　　If that is cool then perhaps someone else out there will enjoy it and identify with what i have done get something out of it and enjoy the work as well. That is all i can hope for 　　SO------Listen !! You never know The music will grow on you !! 　　 　　 　　I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i have enjoyed making it 　　 　　P. S. The last track on this album " ANGELS " was written strait after 9/11 and is my tribute to all those who were lost. My shock will last forever.
