简介:  Constantly Evolving is a collaborative effort that showcases Gordon on acoustic piano with differing units. Musicians on the project include Corky Siegel - Harmonica, Brian Gephart and Dave Zielinski - Saxes, Anthony Brock and Chris Clemente - Bass, Dushun Mosley - Drums and percussion. The project was engineered by Ken Goerres.Produced by Brian Gephart and Dave Gordon. Cover photography by Dan Borris. The compositions include works for solo piano as well as other combinations of small groups.      Dave Gordon grew up in Chicago and began playing piano at age 9. His musical path through high school led him to Berklee College of Music where he graduated in 1978. His musical encounters include performances and recordings with Joe Henderson, Phil Wilson, John LaPorta, Tiger Okoshi and guitarist Mike Stern. He studied Jazz piano with the late great James Williams.    In 1981 with Bagel O' Fun , Gordon collaborated with saxophonist Brian Gephart and recorded with prominent guitarist Bill Frisell (Atmosphere on Willow Records). In 1984 Gordon released "Green Things", a collection of originals which featured several different groups and included Howard Levy, Steve Eisen, Brian Gephart and others.    Constantly Evolving is Gordon’s third CD. Gordon's first CD on Southport Records "Turn"(1995) and the subsequent CD "Faux Real"(2005) were both critically acclaimed independent releases.
