Our family gathered at a peaceful campground in rural Indiana to build memories and enjoy each others' company. The great outdoors kept calling me to take walks with my grandchildren. Our favorite time was twilight. My job was to “wear them out” so they’d sleep like a bump on a log. Down the pathways we wandered. As darkness crept in, tiny flashes of light bejeweled the bushes. Lightning Bug Lullaby was birthed with a one year old on my hip and a three year old holding my hand. 　　 　　As the idea of creating a whole album of original lullabies grew brighter in my mind, more sleepy songs drifted in and gently pleaded to be written. Tunes from my archives begged a place on this collection and others needed a fresh touch. Something old, something new, something borrowed….The Tune to Jammies is an old folk melody from the Shakers. 　　 　　How I thank my wonderful team of singers and musicians!
