This band has been kicking the rear end of society sinces it’s reformation many times, but this new album THEIR FINEST HOUR is probably one of their true defining moments. Coming off the back of their last successful album WHO KILLED JOE PUBLIC, this album was written with a true punch of a band whose members aren’t in the teens. Like so many of their contemporarys the band has written songs that reflect what they are and what they see instead of writing songs like they are still 18. The band ‘see’s things through the eyes of a cynic rather than writing songs for the commercial scene’ says the band lyricist Tim V. ‘I still live in a tower block and still see the same sh*t day in day out, I don’t and have never lived in a twee posh house’ ‘it’s a society where we have around the world been taken for idiots by the fat cats in the banking system and are now paying for it’ 　　 　　Songs like IS THIS THE LIFE and MARY MARY are very reflective and like the impassioned song LAST GANG IN LONDON off their last album which tells a story of a young kid caught up in gang life, these 2 songs on the latest treat are very punchy and powerful. 　　 　　The whole album is again a smack in the face of what people choose to ignore but shouldn’t. 　　 　　The album also features their new single SING WHEN YOU’RE WINNING and the album opens up with the gutsy SWEENEY TODD which is a song in respect of the Brit 70’s drama THE SWEENEY.
