简介: Since the age of 10, Nate Robinson has appeared as guest soloist and recitalist throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He made his solo debut with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra playing the Paganini Violin Concerto No. 1 at the age of 11 and was subsequently invited to perform again with the orchestra two years later.
The Jeversches Wochenblatt newspaper in Germany (31 July 1999) reviewed a recital given by Mr. Robinson and observed, “Like a seasoned concert artist the young man tossed off the most demanding technical passages as if by sleight of hand, drew out music from his violin strings with a display of brilliant technique and profound feeling, made his bow dance and soar, and guided it with unerring concentration to a breath-taking forte that threatened to shatter the acoustics of the concert hall.”
Nate Robinson has appeared on the Bravo! Network, and CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company). In addition he has performed as a chamber musician, and in motion picture and television music; recording for Paramount Pictures, and New Line Cinema among others.
Nate Robinson began his violin studies at the Manhattan School of Music, and later enrolled as a full scholarship student at Yale as a recipient of the Stephen Adams Award, where he studied with the late violinist Erick Friedman, himself a protégé of Jascha Heifetz.
